Luke Lately
Luke, you are free as a bird and sometimes reserved. You like to be with the people you know and when you are in new situations you like to stand back and observe before you decide if you want to join in the fun.
You remind me not care so much about what others think and that as long as I am not hurting anyone, I should do what feels good, like dancing to the music in a store.
You are talking more and more everyday and your dad and I love communicating with you.
Your happy and fun to be around.
You recently got a little table and chairs and now you don't want to sit in your highchair to eat.
You will eat ketchup with a spoon if we let you, ketchup is currently your favourite food.
You also love milk and cheese.
You love to play with things that require fine motor skills like putting chalk or crayons back in their box.
You love music and you love to dance.
When you are in bed at night, dad and I look at pictures of you from that day and talk about all the awesome things you did.
You are very smart and we love you to the moon and back.
xoxo

Unique Is Beautiful
I am more immersed in the beauty industry than ever before and if I was in this position even 5 years ago I would not be as confident in my own beauty as I am today. In this industry it could be extremely easy to compare myself to others and while I do that sometimes (despite my best effort) it does not consume me. I am who I am and that is all I can be. I want to be the best version of myself and shine a light on the things that make me unique. My unique qualities are my gifts and are the keys to my successes and filling the role I was designed for.
We were all designed uniquely with a purpose.
I spent a lot of my teens and twenty's kinda trying to be myself and kinda trying to be someone else. Within the last three years I really started to be happy in my own skin. I have heard this from other women, the older we get the more confident we become and the less we sweat the small stuff. This is all well and good but there are some kick butt young ladies in this world that need to realize this freedom before they turn 30.
We need the younger ladies to start defining beauty there own way now, changing the game and making beauty more diverse. We need those young ladies to fearlessly step forward in the qualities that make them special, so when we look around we cant even see two that are alike but we can only see our awesome beautiful friends for who they really are.
When I think of the beautiful people in my life, the descriptive qualities that come to mind have little to do with appearance.
supportive sister
comforting friend
loving mother
Beauty does come from within but if we don't activity give the gifts we have been blessed with our beauty is unable to be seen. We all have skills and abilities that are unique and worthy of being shared.
So how can I help the women around me see their own beauty better so they can share it with others and like a wild fire, we can create a chain of action that redefines the way we view, discuss and define beauty? I am going to start by following the lead of one of my best friends, she speaks honest compliments whenever she sees them never holding back encouraging thoughts from anyone. I am starting the conversation on my Instagram page, talking about the unique beauty of some of the women in my life. I invite you to do the same and tag a friend creating a chain of encouraging beauty talk.
You are unique and beautiful!
Love,
Audrey

My Favourite Bible Verses Right Now
Life is not always easy, I face challenging times but in the midst of my little life storms I have found peace, joy and am learning some great lessons. I am learning to turn to God first with everything in my life, good and bad and because of that, I am able to enjoy my life no matter the circumstances. I am amazed at Gods ability to meet me anywhere, the more I seek Him, the more available He is to me!
Here are some bible verses that I find a lot of comfort in, please feel free to share the ones that speak to you.
What are your favourite bible verses?

One Necklace Four Ways
I got this necklace before Christmas from Silpada and I knew when I picked it, it would work with many different looks. I chose it because to me, it was a classic piece. Silpada really does have a wide variety of styles to choose from but I think depending on how you wear them, many of the pieces could become staples in your wardrobe for years to come. There products are in the higher end price range as far as "costume jewellery" goes but that is matched by its quality. If I am going to spend more on a piece of jewellery, I want to be sure I will be able to wear it for a long time.
Yellow gold has always signified "classic jewellery" to me, I have always thought, "ladies where yellow gold." This piece makes me feel like a lady and it is so easy to incorporate into my existing style. Below are some images to show you a few ways that I have worn this Silpada piece. My friend Joan sells Silpada and she would love to connect with you on her Facebook page. She has a great collection of jewellery you can touch and try on when you host an event with her.
The older I get, the more focused I am on building a wardrobe that will stand the test of time and that includes my jewellery as well.

Thrift Haul
After the weather we had on Monday and all the sunshine this week, I have officially allowed myself to get a little bit excited about spring. Luke and I have been walking so much to soak up the warm sunshine. It is so amazing what sun can do for my mood after a string of grey days.
Anyways, spring weather means spring fashion and beauty, and a few weeks ago I got really lucky at the Goodwill with some pieces I cant wait to rock this spring. I have worn a few already with tights and cardis but I am dreaming of them with open toe shoes. I am a thrifter and proud of it! I thoroughly enjoy browsing the racks and hunting for items on my ongoing list of needs for my home and for Luke. I have found so many awesome toys for Luke from the Goodwill and some of my most coveted clothing pieces were gems I pulled off the rack from a secondhand store. When someone compliments one of my secondhand items I proudly tell them how much I paid for it (just a few dollars) and what thrift shop the gem was discovered in.
I am going to give away my secret but the best Goodwill to shop at in Sarnia is the one on Michigan. I am not sure if it is because the drop off area is so large or what but I always have great luck there. I like to call it the ritzy Goodwill.
Here are the items I found for myself and in addition I got a little table and two chairs for Luke in this haul, all for $34! My fav of these items is the jean dress, it will be a staple for me this summer, I just know it!
Where do you like to thrift, please comment below, I would love to hear from you.
Happy thrifting friends!

Answered Prayers
Recently I have been praying for more friends of faith "God I need some strong women of faith in my life please, who will help me to get to know You better".
Sometimes it takes me a little while to catch on to how God works, He definitely has a sense of humour. This morning as I wrote about the new friendship I formed via social media with Brittney Andreesen , it hit me square in the face, God formed this relationship. Brittney lives on the other side of Canada and we just randomly connected online through similar interests like, God, blogging and the need to create. No we didn't meet randomly, that awesome act is one only the hand of God could curate. He used all the modern technology I love like a hashtag to lead me to a new friend.
God you are awesome, help me not to forget so quickly just how awesome you are.
Brittney kindly interviewed me and featured me on her blog, I am honoured! Please check it out and take a wander around her website to see the other cool work this Creative Producer and Blogger is doing!
Thanks be to God!
Heather
