Powder First Foundation Routine

I filmed this first impression video about 2 weeks ago and have worn my foundation layered starting with powder now a handful of times. I love this technique to help me achieve a full coverage complexion that lasts amazingly well throughout the day. I have tried this technique with translucent powder (light coverage) and my Arbonne Mineral Foundation Powder (fuller coverage) and I prefer the look with the foundation powder for the highest coverage option. One thing to keep in mind when applying your liquid over your powder, is the liquid dries faster than applying it directly to the skin so you need to move quick and may need to use a little more liquid product than usual, it's not a bad thing just something I have noticed. Lastly, I do also find misting the skin after applying all of these layers helps them to melt together to give a flawless glowing look. Check out my first impression application of this technique in the video below for more details.

What are your favourite full coverage makeup techniques and products, please comment below, I would love to know.

These Days

These are the days, the best days I have ever known, days I didn't know I would love so much, days I want to cherish.

These days cause me to pray, build my confidence, test my patience and make me so happy.

These days I like to stay in, not get dressed, and take my time with my children moving through the day.

These days I feel like I need to get out, interact and find stimulation in something new.

These days the sun feels good, it makes me excited for spring and summer.

These days Ty and I say good morning while passing off the baby.

These days I feel frustrated when woken from sleep but blessed when I lay my sweet sleepy girl back into bed.

These days I drink way too much coffee.

These days I don't know how I feel, the days are rarely the same and sometimes I like that and sometimes I don't.

These days Luke and Elizabeth snuggle in her crib almost everyday.

These days Tyler and I look at each other and wonder how we got so blessed to be able to snuggle our whole world on the couch.

These days big brother is little sisters entire world.

These days I look at dust under Elizabeth's crib while nursing her, think about cleaning it up, but forget about it as soon as she is done feeding.

These days, one of my favourite sounds is dad making the kids laugh.

These days we eat scrambled eggs for breakfast a lot.

These days I feel so grateful.

These days Ty and I text pictures of the kids to each other.

These days we are grateful for family dinners at granmdmas and grandpas houses.

These days Paw Patrol is on a lot!

These days I am obsessed with stock piling breast milk in the freezer.

What's something random from your days that makes them what they are?

Xoxo

I Am A Wild Fire Woman

I am so proud to be a contributor for Wild Fire Women, a tribe of women whose hearts are to empower and inspire each other to chase our wildest dreams.

I met the founder of this community Brittney Andreesen, on Twitter over a year ago and I believe it was a friendship conducted by God. Now I am honoured to take part in her community by sharing my stories alongside some other amazing women. Community really is the key word. I share because I love connecting and relating to others and Wild Fire Women is going to bring us all closer together through conversation.

I hope you will take a few minutes to check out the website here, and my first post, Insecurity For Faith.

Stay tuned for some more exciting things coming from my collaborations with Wild Fire Women!

Lizzy Lately

I am getting to know you a little better now, some days I think I have you figured out but not everyday.

We call you Lizzy girl and you're our special little lady.

You are so smart!

You love to watch TV.

You are trying to roll over.

You turn your head to the left when I lay you in bed for a nap or sleep, that's how I know you're down for a good rest.

Your tongue is always poking out.

You are always chewing on your hands and fingers.

You are growing so fast, today we put you in your high chair, big girl.

You rarely wear outfits, mostly pj onesies.

You love your brother so much, your face lights up when you see him.

You love to snuggle, you still sleep on me for 50% of your naps and I love it more everyday.

When you are sitting in your bouncy chair your legs are always kicking.

You like to talk.

You are very interested in food and I am excited to start giving you solids.

It is an amazing responsibility to be your mother and figure you out.

Love mom, proofread by dad.
